We are rapidly approaching the start of the new school term, all of our regular sessions commence from Monday 8th September.
September is also when the Netball season starts.
Netball has been an important revenue stream for the club in the last few years. Over the 25 Sundays a year they rent the courts from us, this has brought us between £9000 and £12000 per annum, plus it has contributed to a significant increase in café sales.
In order to be prepared for the start of the Netball Season, which is the 13th September, we have commissioned a company to come in on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th of September to remark the netball lines.
This means that the indoor courts will be closed on those two days. Club morning can still take place but on the outdoor courts. Outdoor courts will also be available for booking on those two days.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this will cause, especially after the centre was closed last week due to the County Closed tournament. But we were very limited to the times we could get the lines marked and to allow drying time without impacting more customers.
We have also decided to take this opportunity to permanently mark the pickleball courts and the min red tennis courts. This will mean that the courts will look neater without taped lines which gets ripped.
Thank you members for your patience and we look forward to seeing you all for lots of tennis from 8th September onwards.
