Dear Members,
Since reopening the outdoor courts Sue and I have been delighted to see so many of you booking courts and returning to the club to play fixed fours in the fresh air.
As we’re now heading towards better weather we thought it would be a good idea to take “One more small step” towards tennis normality and commence a gradual reopening of our popular club sessions.
Our number one priority is your safety and having studied all the Government and LTA advice on adult outdoor tennis plus we have already successfully restarted our Ladies team training, adult improvers and beginner groups we feel confident that it’s safe to take the next step forwards as follows:
CLUB SESSIONS??
• COURTS: OUTDOORS ONLY on 3 x courts (initially)
• NUMBERS: 12 x players maximum
• DURATION: 2 x hours maximum of continuous play
• DAYS: TUES: 6-8pm WED & FRI: 10-12pm (Friday Night Hit & Hopers delayed for the moment)
• EQUIPMENT: Bring own balls
• FORMAT: Play a total of 7 x games with sudden death deuces and then change partners
• UNSUPERVISED: We would like you to mix-in and create your own doubles play please
• CLUB/STAFF: The Club remains closed with little or no staff so please bring your own drink (we do have an outside porta loo)
• GATE: Please remember to close the side gate when entering and departing
• SIGN UP: via email to manager@sdtennis.co.uk – please sign up weekly but as numbers are restricted could we request that members inform Sue if they wish to cancel their place asap
• START DATE: Next Tuesday 13th April to coincide with the junior coaching programme moving indoors
We look forward to as many of you as possible getting back into the swing and pray for sunny weather
