Dear Member,
The outside courts have now been open for two weeks and many members and guests have started playing again in this great weather. The system seems to be running very smoothly and members are thanked for their co-operation. We remind members that courts must be booked in advance and ask that you include your playing partner's name on the booking sheet.
Three coaches are now ready to start 1 to 1 lessons. If you wish to arrange coaching, please contact them direct:

Members have been asking about opportunities for competitive play and so the singles boxes will be reformatted shortly. For those who have not entered previously details can be found under Leagues when you are logged in to MyCourts. If you would like to take part in the new boxes please email Alan Donaldson at alan.don@lineone.net by Friday 5th June. If you are in the current boxes, please could you let Alan know if you want to continue to take part or not.
Since we re-opened, we have had 6 new members join the club and would be pleased to accept many more. If you know of anyone who wishes to join please ask them to contact secretary@sdtennis.co.uk Memberships currently on offer are Family Outdoors (£70), Junior U18 (£30) & Junior U11 (£20).
We will shortly be making courts available for non-members to book and details will be published separately. In line with this, members are of course welcome to play with a guest, but from Monday 1st June a visitors fee will need to be paid. When booking the court in these circumstances, the member should enter "A. Guest" as the playing partner on the booking sheet. Either the member or guest should pay the visitors fee by bank transfer as detailed below. Visitors fees are £3.20 per hour for adults singles, £2.20 per hour for adults doubles and £1.20 per hour for Juniors. Please note that at present, doubles is only permitted where all players are from one household.

We are pleased to announce that the Club made an application to Sport England for a grant from the Community Emergency Fund designed to help sports club with their costs during closure due to Covid-19 and that a grant of £4,000 has been awarded. We are most grateful to Sport England for the grant which will make a contribution to our ongoing costs during closure.
